Interment of Ashes
Appropriate plants are contained in areas that allow for the burial of ashes. Benches are provided for meditation and prayer in this tranquil corner of the churchyard. For more information, please see our Interment of ashes booklet.
Churchyard
Churchyard regulations are to help make sure that the grounds are a place of peace and beauty for everyone to enjoy and to bring dignity and respect for the departed. Blackburn Diocese has a responsibility to make sure that the churchyard remains an appropriate setting to the parish church for years to come.
