Parish Hall Complex
The St. JohnBaptistChurch club opened on January 1st 1976 and was the first licensed Anglican Church club in the Blackburn Diocese. The aim of the club was to provide a social centre for the residents of Broughton Parish. The club is open Tuesday to Saturday nights between 20:00 and 23:00 and is operated on a completely voluntary basis by a committee and a group of bar staff. Because it is totally voluntary overheads are kept to a minimum with the benefits being passed on to the membership.

Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone who resides within the Parish of St. John Baptist, Broughton, or who has a connection with any of the centres of worship in the Parish. Members are entitled to invite guests, (up to ten at one time), provided they are properly signed in as such.

What goes on?

The club added a bowling green in 1986 which has splendid facilities and is particularly popular enjoying regular success in the local bowling leagues. Apart from the bowling side, the club also provides a pool and table tennis facilities and the usual card games and dominoes. Twice a month there is a quiz night and we also have regular dance nights with live music. To add to that our very popular karaoke/talent nights give you the opportunity to display those hidden talents!

What does it cost?

The committee sets the membership renewal fee each year taking in to account the current economic climate and has managed to maintain the cost at the same level for three years. If you would like to know more about the fees for membership and bowling please call in and see us, you will always receive a warm welcome.
